Salesforce Relevant Products/Services.com recently made a strong push in retail with its Salesforce1 platform. Now, the CRM Relevant Products/Services company is making moves in the healthcare industry through a strategic alliance with Royal Philips, also based on Salesforce1.

The companies are working together to deliver an open cloud Relevant Products/Services-based healthcare platform. The overarching goal is to “reshape and optimize Relevant Products/Services” the way healthcare is delivered and offer better access to patient data Relevant Products/Services across the healthcare system Relevant Products/Services.

Better Patient Care

According to the companies, patient relationship management will be at the center Relevant Products/Services of the platform. The idea is to streamline collaboration Relevant Products/Services between caregivers so they can better support patients.

Early plans for the platform include medical device and data interoperability, which will make it possible to collect and analyze data so caregivers can make better healthcare decisions. The platform also aims to let patients take a more active role in managing their own health.

Philips will contribute medical technology, clinical informatics and clinical applications. Salesforce will pitch in with enterprise cloud computing Relevant Products/Services and customer Relevant Products/Services engagement technologies, including the Salesforce1 platform.

Shaking Up the Market

Although there are smaller players in the market raising venture capital for patient management platforms, including Hello Health and eVariant, the combination of Salesforce.com and Philips makes for a formidable competitor.

The companies have already developed two clinical “care collaboration” applications that will roll out on the platform later this summer: Philips eCareCoordinator and Philips eCareCompanion. The apps promise to allow healthcare teams to monitor Relevant Products/Services patients with chronic conditions in their homes while also facilitating Philips’ Hospital to Home clinical programs like Banner iCare.

Going forward, Salesforce.com and Philips envision apps that will cover the healthcare continuum, from prevention and self-care to diagnoses and treatment all the way to recovery and wellness. The Salesforce1 platform-based solutions will empower collaboration and workflow, as well as the integration of data from multiple sources, including electronic medical records, diagnostic and treatment information collected by Philips’ equipment.

According to the companies, the platform is not only highly scalable Relevant Products/Services, it comes with built-in privacy and data security Relevant Products/Services. The platform will be open to developers and the companies expect to build an ecosystem of partners creating apps that drive personal health management forward.
